Is Liz still alive???
Hey guys! I'm still on hiatus trying desperately to get healthy again. Having no immune system while my body was fighting off a kidney infection (which is better, not gone, but better) has led me to being sicker than a dog. I haven't gone back to the doctors yet, but if you heard me breathe you'd think I was a 90 year old man, because my chest literally rattles with every breath. I'll be fine.. eventually. When I'm healthy I'll make an occ post reintroducing my characters and what they have been up to during this time, but for now, just giving you a heads up.
What's the status of the Threaded comments being moved over?
I have been working on getting the threaded comments posted to the RP comm as logs. August, September, October, and November are completed in their transferring over. (Khushi had all the November threads sent to me, ready to be posted, and is working on the December/January ones! THANKS BABE!)
Why is it going so slowly?
In addition to moving the threaded comments over, I have been changing every friends locked post into a public one, putting a subject on all posts that did not have one, and tagging each post with the full name of the characters involved in the post, as well as a few generic tags from time to time such as quidditch, uso, etc... That way when everything is completed, it will make it easy for you guys to keep track of your own logging/threading here at MW, as well as easy to include the tags for characters that have been played/dropped on the back story post. Don't worry about any getting lost, however, as I have Lj-archived the entire community, so if GJ goes down, the comments are still on my computer to be transferred over!
Why are you telling us this?
For every thread/log/owl that you post in the RP community it will help us out immensely if you remember to keep it PUBLIC, and include a SUBJECT. If you tag it with the full names of the characters involved, that'd be great to, but if you miss that part a mod can always add the tag. We cannot edit the post to make it public and/or include a subject, so its up to the player posting to remember those two things. I'll nudge you if you forget either. It just makes things a lot easier to search for specific posts if there is a subject, instead of (no subject) on the calendar subjects view.
Why do things have to be public?
It makes it easier for new players interested in picking up a previous character to see what game-canon history they have to include, if they can read the logs or threads. It makes it easier for a new player to decide if this game is a fit for them, if they can see the logs/threads posted in the community. If you really want to friends lock your journal that is your prerogative, and we won't be that controlling.. However, keep the posts in the RP community public!

Hello hello hello! This is everyone's favorite Brandi, here with character number three ... again. For refreshers: I'm Brandi, I'm made of win and awesome, I play Marlene and Helana, and I'm single, an aquarius, I like long walks on the beach and frisky ... well, nevermind.
I bring back Regan Wood (with a new face and new handwriting)! The loveable actress who is a former Ravenclaw and the mum of everyone's favorite fanatical Quidditch captain, Oliver Wood, who's just an ickle little one-year-old atm. Her full information is here, but here's a quick run-down:
- Ravenclaw, class of 1974.
- Was a Quidditch Commentator in school.
- Was in the choir in school, a soprano.
- Has a very "LOOK AT ME, PAY ATTENTION TO ME" personality.
- Has two younger brothers, also both Ravenclaws. Hephaestus Belby was class of 76, and Damocles Belby is a sixth year, so she might know people through her brothers.
- Is married (obviously) to Patrick Wood, so she might know people through him, as well.
- She is, quite frankly, a sexy little spitfire of a redhead.
- Her life is her family and the stage.
- She meddles in her brothers' lives. She wants Heph to get married and give Ollie cousins, and she wants Dam to date so that he can also get married in a couple years and give Ollie cousins, too. So some of the older female students could have previously been the object of Regan trying to set them up with one of her brothers.
- She was the lead role in a wizarding update of Romeo and Juliet (Romulus and Julianne) last fall.
- As Kate mentioned, they have just returned from northern California, where Patrick was doing stuff with rocks and Regan was involved in a stage production during their stay.
Muah. I'm happy to be bringing her back. :D Any plottage is of the fun. Previously, she and Patrick had been friends with the Diggorys and Boneses, and I'd like to keep that, but also friends with other alumni / older students would be a plus! She's only been out of school a few years, after all, so she might remember some of the older Ravenclaws from her days in school, and especially some of the Quidditch players who have been on the team at least since the 73 - 74 school year.

Hi guys!
Some of you know me from before, some of you know me from other places, and some of you don't know me at all, so for the benefit of the latter group I'm just going to introduce myself and my character like I'm brand new.
Me: Kate, IMable at spellcheckkaboom and emailable at spellcheckkaboom@gmail.com. I'm 26, I teach 11th grade English (American Lit), and I also play at ![[info]](https://www.insanejournal.com/img/community.gif) euphorialane (Seamus Finnigan and Roger Davies). I have a small fluffy dog named Gustav (for Gustav Klimt), and I like to drink kind of a lot. And I'm on a roller derby team.
My Character: Everybody meet Patrick Wood, Gryffindor class of 1973. He's a Scotsman, born and raised in Montrose (his father played for the Magpies), but currently residing in Tintagel (Cornwall) with his lovely wife Regan and son Oliver. He was a Prefect and Quidditch Captain/Beater in his time, and since graduation he's become a magigeologist, studying rocks which have magical properties or can be used in magic. He has, in fact, just returned from a long sojourn to northern California, where he's been working on a study of serpentine. For more on Patrick, see his userinfo.
People who would definitely for sure know Patrick include Gryffindors who were in the house between '70 and '73, Prefects of any house between '70 and '73, Quidditch players (or dedicated fans) of any house between '68 and '73, graduates of the class of '73, and particularly Gryffindor Quidditch players between '71 and '73 (the years he was Captain). People who might know Patrick include people who grew up in Scotland, people who currently live in Cornwall, Ravenclaws who are friendly with his wife, and alumni who like a good pickup game of Quidditch.
When I was first in this game, Patrick had established friendships with the Diggorys and the Boneses, which I would definitely like to continue. :) I'd also love for him to have other people to talk to and stuff, so comment and we'll talk backstory and stuff! So uh...yeah! Hi! Nice to be back!
